About FSWA

The Finch Society of WA (Inc), founded in 1982, promotes the keeping, breeding, and showing of Australian and foreign finches and other soft-billed birds. Our goal is to foster fellowship among members and other societies, encouraging ideas that benefit our community.

Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Agricultural Hall (next to Café Bellini), 209 Main St, Osborne Park. Doors open at 7:00 pm, and the meeting starts at 7:30 pm. We begin with formalities, followed by guest speakers and video or slide presentations. Light supper is served, with tea, coffee, drinks, and biscuits available throughout. There’s an accessories table with birding essentials and club merchandise like polo shirts and fleece tops.

Our magazine is published every two months.

Auctions take place three times a year, with pre-booking of birds required a week in advance.
